My friend and beautiful musician Romina di Gasbarro made Risorgimento (Italian term meaning “resurgence”) as “a musical voyage starting around the unification of Italy in 1861 to present day”. She wanted the album cover to resemble the classic Neapolitan playing cards. After many hours spent on research and editing, I designed this cover art and a suit of images to be used as promotional material.
Cover art for The Uncertainty Music Series 2007-2017, an amazing compilation featuring improvised music from the 10 year long concert series in New Haven, CT. Each vertical line is a collage made from flyers promoting the series in the last 10 years.

Originally run by Emma Smith in Edinburgh, Bitches Brew’s Toronto session was organized by the violonist Aline Homzy. In Emma Smith’s words “In response to the eternal assumption that the only woman in the band must be the singer, Bitches Brew is a night of music written/improvised and performed by some of the best female instrumentalists around.” The poster features four different stages of Venus’ orbit around the sun which represent the unique creativity each of the four female musical leaders bring to the project.
FIDES KRUCKER & TIM MOTZER Vanishing, 2019 (1k Recordings)
Graphic design for Vanishing, the new album by vocalist Fides Krucker (Toronto) and guitarist Tim Motzer (Philadelphia). The layout mimics the cinematic nature of the compositions, leaving plenty of empty space as a reminder of (in the artists’ words) “…worlds that hint at what we’ve lost, worlds in which to disappear”
CD sleeve and booklet design for SO Duo, Sumru Ağıryürüyen and Orçun Başkurt, from Istanbul. The fantastic cover image is a childhood photo of Sumru. The album will also be released as an LP later this year.
