Magpie is a tale of loss, love and transformation. Having just experienced pregnancy loss, the main character, Woman/Magpie, sets out on a journey during a particularly difficult day. The journey takes place in fairy tale-like settings and she meets mythical characters who help her face her grief and fears.
Videos become a part of the story telling of Magpie during the live performance. Sometimes they introduce the locations and mythical characters and sometimes they run on a loop to visually and quietly support the key moments in the music.
